MOTÖRHEAD

Im Oktober 2013 veröffentlichten Motörhead ihr 21. Studioalbum. Aftershock, ein hochgelobtes, fulminantes Werk, das sofort in die Top 10 Charts einstieg.

Wie allen bekannt ist, mussten einige Tourdaten verschoben werden, damit Lemmy sich gesundheitlich richtig erholen konnte.

Der kommende Festival-Sommer wird nicht ohne Motörhead stattfinden, sie sind wieder da und werden 11 Festivals in Europa mit ihrer lauten Anwesenheit beglücken. Und das wird in Form eines Re-Releases gefeiert und unterstützt.

UDR/Motörhead Music/Warner wird Aftershock- Tour Edition am 01. August (ACHTUNG: NEUER TERMIN!!!) die CD noch einmal mit einer Bonus Disk veröffentlichen. Die Bonus Disk enthält live Material von der 2014 West Coast Tour, die kürzlich absolviert wurde sozusagen als Warm-Up für die bevorstehenden Festivals. Der besondere Leckerbissen ist ‚Lost Woman Blues‘ live  aufgenommen in San Francisco, The Warfield am 18. April 2014. Der Song wird übrigens auch als nächste Single ausgekoppelt und ein brandneues Video dazu gibt es auch...

BLITZKRIEG

Blitzkrieg embark on their latest European tour this September starting in their Hometown of Newcastle on September 7th and working their way through Germany, Switzerland, Italy and France.

It is the band's only tour this year and interest is high.

Everyone of course knows Blitzkrieg for Metallica covering their self titles 1981 anthem but the band have picked up many fans through their own albums; from their first, Time of Changes in 1984, to the latest release, Back From Hell, which saw top marks in all the major European and world wide press.

Blitzkrieg, fronted by Brian Ross who is also vocalist for his other cult metal act Satan, feature longtime guitarist Ken Johnson and now Brian's son Alan,on 2nd guitar .

METAL NATION

England-based record label Metal Nation announced two new releases to take place between September and October.

The first to see daylight will be the reissue of "The Opening Ritual", from British power metallers CLOVEN HOOF.

Recorded back in 1982, this is Cloven Hoof's first ever release. Originally a 7" four track EP, it has now been extended with the band's first demo and a previously unreleased track, 'Nightstalker'. All songs were remastered in 2014 by Metal Nation Records, including a 12 page booklet with lyrics, archive photos and extensive sleeve notes by the band.

„Wir wollten den strammsten Bullet Song aller Zeiten schreiben und plötzlich kam uns dieses Lead-Riff in den Sinn. Dabei entstanden imaginäre Bilder von Messern, die vom Himmel fallen und so war der Titel »Storm Of Blades« geboren. Der Song erzählt von Zerstörung, Horror und der Apokalypse – es war uns ein Muss ihn als Albumtitel zu benennen.“

Veröffentlichung im Oktober 2014 an! Das neue Album wird auf Idol‘s eigenem Label BFI Records via
Kobalt Label Services erscheinen.

Produziert vonTrevor Horn, erscheint das Album fast zeitgleich zur langerwarteten Idol Autobiografie „Dancing With Myself“, die weltweit in diesem Herbst veröffentlicht wird.

Vor Kurzem launchte Billy Idol seine Buchkampagne mit einem bemerkenswerten Auftritt auf der New Yorker „Book Expo America“ und gegab sich anschließend auf Europa Tour.
In Deutschland ging es unlängst auf dem Hessentag in Bensheim los. Mit seiner Band und seinem langjährigen musikalischen Weggefährten und Lead-Gitarrist Steve Stevens, ist er in Europa bis zum 04.07. live zu erleben. THE QUIREBOYS

Am 20.06. erscheint das neue THE QUIREBOYS Album "Black Eyed Sons". Ein Hammer Package bestehend aus dem neuen Album, einer Live CD von ihrem unplugged Gig vor 40.000 Leuten auf dem Sweden Rock 2013 und einer Live DVD mit dem Londoner Konzert ihrer "Beautiful Curse" Tour. Um ihr 30jähriges Jubiläum zu feiern spielten sie Ende April im Half Moon in London, wo sie 1984 ihre erste Show gespielt haben.

RIK PRIEM´S PRIME

Belgian guitar player Rik Priem and his high profile band have completed the work on their debut video for the stomping Heavy Rocker “Babylon Rising”.
The song is taken from the bands self-titled debut album, which was released on May 23rd 2014 on CD and as digital download through Avenue Of Allies.

Rik invited his band mates Carsten ‘Lizard’ Schulz (lead vocals), Vincent De Laat (bass), Geert Margodt (keyboards) and Rami Ali (drums) to his home country Belgium,
where the video was shot at the B52 Club in Eernegem in May 2014 with the help of Andy Maelstaf, Daniel Winne and Steve Claeys.


The album which was produced by Steffen Seeger (Iain Ashley Hersey, Midnite Club) and mixed and mastered by Rolf Munkes (Dead End Heroes, Empire, Razorback, Tony Martin)

NOTURNALL, Brasiliens neuer Stern am Metalhimmel, haben ihr drittes Video veröffentlicht… und es ist ein ganz besonderes.

"Woman In Chains", original von Tears For Fears, erschienen  1989.

Mit dem Re-Make des Songs erfüllt Sänger Thiago Bianchi ein Versprechen, dass er vor 13 Jahren gab als er seine Krebsdiagnose erhielt, und man ihm sagte er hätte nur noch sechs Monate zu leben.

Das Video ist auch eine Liebeserklärung an alle Mütter auf dieser Welt.

STEEL PROPHET

STEEL PROPHET has released the first video clip taken from their forthcoming album “Omniscient” (out on Cruz Del Sur Music on July 4th in Europe and July 11th in the United States). Ten years after their last studio release, the originators of the Progressive Power Metal movement return with the their classic sound led by Steve Kachinsky Blakmoor (guitarist and founding member) and by veteran metal singer Rick Mythiasin.

The recording  line up is completed by Vince Dennis (b), Chris Schleyer (g), Jimmy Schultz (d); after the recording original drummer John Tarascio, and guitarist John Paget returned to the band together.



“666 is everywhere (the Heavy Metal Blues)” is the 6th(!) song of the album.  Although Steel Prophet is not well known for always being humorous, the whimsy of the lyrics is reflected in the video clip shot by Agent Steel/Redemption guitarist Bernie Versailles. About the song Kachinsky says “Steel Prophet knows metal fans have a fascination with the numbers "666". And when you're in a metal band trying to make a living, sometimes it seems like "666 is Everywhere"!”.

“Omniscient” is composed of 12 songs based on an original story written by Kachinsky.  The idea of telling a story throughout a whole album is similar to STEEL PROPHET’s 1999 classic “Dark Hallucinations” which featured the “Fahrenheit 451” story by Ray Bradbury. The famous German Artist Timo Würz was hired to create the amazing cover artwork, and 12 original booklet illustrations to go with the lyrics and story itself. The album also contains a thirteenth song, a cover of QUEEN’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”, which was successfully presented by the band at the 2013th edition of the Keep It True festival in Germany; a video clip of the event will see the light shortly before the release of  “Omniscient”.

“Omniscient” will be release in limited edition 32-page digibook, regular compact disc, limited gate-fold double LP and digital download.

VALERIE

Norwegian rockers Valerie have just released the first single "Night After Night" from their sophomore album. The single, which very much like their critically acclaimed debut, features big guitars, catchy hooks and that 80s rock feeling. The album is set to be released in 2014.

The single is available worldwide through iTunes, Spotify and Amazon among others.



Valerie s/t debut album was both a fan and critics' favorite for its youthful energy, "possessed by the same pop-metal spirit that defined the burgeoning Sunset Strip scene back in the ‘80s” (Mark Allen, Hard Rock Haven)  Sleaze Roxx' Mark Redmayne called the album " an arresting set of tracks that'll stalk you from day one", scoring 8.5/10 Rock Garage Magazine (REZI HIER), 7/10 Roxx Zone, and was featured in Classic Rock Magazine in 2013.

ALESTORM

Die Piraten Metaller von ALESTORM werden im September in See stechen und Europa per Tour überfallen. Im Gepäck haben sie dabei neben BRAINSTORM und TROLDHAUGEN als Support Act auch ein neues Album. Das trägt den Titel „Sunset On The Golden Age" und wird am 4. August erscheinen.

Wie der Titel schon verrät geht es darauf um das goldene Zeitalter der Piraterie, das man in die Spanne zwischen 1680 und 1720 rechnet. „In der Zeit waren all die berühmten Piraten unterwegs, von denen ihr
vielleicht schon gehört habt und die vorwiegend in der Karibik ihr Unwesen trieben", so die Band. „Schätze stehlend, die britische Navy in den Arsch tretend und all sowas. Wie alles Gute hatte auch diese

Selbiges kann der geneigte Besucher sicher auch ganz wunderbar auf Tour tun. Neben den musizierenden Piraten ALESTORM werden auch die deutschen Power Metaller von BRAINSTORM für Stimmung sorgen und dabei ein volles Live-Set spielen. Ihr neues Album „Firesoul" erschien im April und stieg auf Platz 43 in die deutschen Albumcharts. Auf einigen Releaseshows direkt zur Veröffentlichung bewies die Band einmal mehr, dass sie live für jede Menge Stimmung sorgen können und dabei zu den sympathischsten und authentischsten deutschen Metal-Acts zählen.

Als Support Act TROLDHAUGEN mit von der Partie. Die Folk Metaller, die sich selbst als sehr experimentierfreudig bezeichnen, gehen zum ersten Mal auf große Europatournee. Aktuelle Veröffentlichung ist eine Single „Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Troll After Midnight)".
