FRONTIERS ROCK FESTIVAL 2014
Es ist soweit: Frontiers Records gibt das Line Up für das erste Frontiers Rock Festival bekannt, ein 3-tägiges Festival, das vom 01. - 03. Mai 2014 im Live Club in Trezzo (Milan) stattfinden wird. Neben den normalen Tagestickets zum Preis von 59€ gibt es natürlich auch Festivaltickets für 159€ sowie auf 150 Stück limitierte VIP Tickets (incl. Unterkunft im Hotel, Catering, Meet & Greet und mehr).

IRON SAVIOR
Power Metaller aller Länder fiebern dem 28. Februar entgegen. Denn die Hamburger IRON SAVIOR werden endlich wieder mit einem neuen Album vorstellig: “Rise Of The Hero” heißt der Nachfolger des hoch gelobten „The Landing“ (2011).
Zum Track „Burning Heart“ entstand ein kurzweiliger, „inoffizieller“ Clip, den ihr hier begutachten könnt.
EVERGREY
AFM Records ist hoch erfreut, das Signing der schwedischen Metaller EVERGREY bekanntgeben zu können. Die Band um den charismatischen Frontmann Tom S. Englund zählt durch ihren unverwechselbaren Sound zu den prägendsten Metal-Bands, die in den letzten zwei Jahrzehnten die Szene bereichert haben.
Derzeit arbeiten EVERGREY an einem neuen Album, das in der zweiten Jahreshälfte erscheinen wird. 2014 wird definitiv ein ereignisreiches Jahr für alle Fans der schwedischen Ausnahmeband.

While the music might be the most contemplated and dark pieces we have written -and while the sheer amount of music we have the pleasure to choose from is more than ever, we are super psyched and pleased to have chosen a label that believes in Evergrey!
AFM are certain that we have a lot more to contribute to the world of music and we can promise you that they are right. On top of that it is about damn time that our fans get some new and fresh metal!
While we at this moment are hindered to speak about the new members - this will be totally understandable when we announce it - they are known to some people and some might never have heard of them B U T we can tell you that they are as excited as the rest of us and have already brought in 50% of the material written so this album will be a 100% band effort!
We will release 2 singles 1 complemented with a video produced by our bud Patric Ullaeus and Revolver.se.
We will also film our every step of the recording process for you to enjoy at a continuous and steady pace on our different social media channels making this the most accessible album we have made to date. We will also arrange interviews with each and every member during the recording process together with some really cool ideas for the booklet of the CD itself - more on this soon!
The album will be recorded in a few different studios and mixed in Denmark at Hansen studios by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Epysode, Pretty Maids, Doro and more).
We are currently planning some cool release shows for different territories and honestly can´t wait for YOU to hear our music, as we are thrilled, more than pleased and stoked with what we come up with!
And oh, yeah, the title is also set and will be revealed soon!

After more than three decades together, iconic rock ‘n roll band MÖTLEY CRÜE announced today their Final Tour and the band’s ultimate retirement. The announcement was solidified when the band signed a formal Cessation Of Touring Agreement, effective at the end of 2015, in front of global media in Los Angeles today. Celebrating the announcement of this Final Tour, the band will perform on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live TONIGHT and will appear on CBS This Morning TOMORROW MORNING.

As documented in the Cessation Of Touring Agreement the band signed at the press conference today, the band will not tour after this Final Tour. Band Attorney, Doug Mark of Mark Music & Media Law, explains “Other bands have split up over rancor or the inability of people to get along, but this is mutual among all four original members and a peaceful decision to move on to other endeavors and to confirm it with a binding agreement.” Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, and Mick Mars will go their separate ways after the lengthy 2-year touring cycle. Tommy Lee (drums) explains “Everything must come to an end!! We always had a vision of going out with a big fucking bang and not playing county fairs and clubs with 1 or 2 original band members! Our job here is done!!!” Of the band’s tumultuous history, Mick Mars (guitar) adds "(It has been) more drama than ‘General Hospital’ - it keeps 'em watchin’ and they keep comin’ back.” Vocalist, Vince Neil says of the Finality of the tour - “I'll miss playing with the guys but I won't quit playing rock and roll!! I feel there are a lot of great opportunities and exciting projects after Motley.”
The Final Tour will coincide with the film made from MÖTLEY CRÜE’s NY Times Best-Selling book The Dirt. Jeff Tremaine (Bad Grandpa) has signed on to direct the opus that is set to debut in theaters globally in 2015, coinciding with The Final Tour. The Dirt is not only one of the best selling rock books of all time but also one of the greatest rock books of all time because of its brutal honesty, its unique voice, its multiple perspectives on the same events and its first-person inclusion of all members of the same band. Most rock memoirs are salacious mud-slinging accounts of a single person and MÖTLEY CRÜE was adamant to include the perspectives of all four of its members. Tremaine’s intention is to make, not just a great movie about a band, but a great movie about four misfits who, despite themselves and everyone else, band together to overcome the odds and change the history of Rock & Roll. "The Dirt' is a movie I've wanted to make ever since I read the book in 2002,” says Tremaine. “I relate to the story on so many levels; my whole professional career has been about boys behaving badly, so I have a real connection to the material. It's awesome to be working with the band at such an exciting time in Motley Crue’s history." The film will be produced by the members of MÖTLEY CRÜE, Rick Yorn, Julie Yorn, Erik Olsen and 10th Street Entertainment.
TANKARD
Das Frankfurter Thrash-Metal-Urgestein TANKARD wird diese Woche mit den Aufnahmen zum neuen Album beginnen.
Getreu dem Motto „Never change a winning team“ werden die Jungs wieder gemeinsam mit Produzent Michael Mainx (BÖHSE ONKELZ, DER W, D-A-D, DISBELIEF) das Studio „23“ in Frankfurt am Main entern, um den Nachfolger des sehr erfolgreichen „A Girl Called Cerveza“ Albums einzuhämmern.
Das neue Album wird den Titel „R.I.B.“ tragen und soll im Sommer 2014 via Nuclear Blast veröffentlicht werden.

In a few days we will hit the road again. We will visit 13 countries, and we will play 30 shows in 31 days. We are happy we will address some places we haven’t been for a while, like the south of Germany - we realize some of our fans had to wait for some time now to see us again. So 30 shows - 31 days, got to be a big adventure, and it will be. A tour with Enforcer, Skull Fist, Gengis Khan and Vanderbuyst obviously is a killer package. Our mission is to add some hard rock flavors in this perfect heavy metal recipe.
For this tour we decided to record a single with two brand new tracks. On ‘Little Sister’ we are joined by a good friend of ours: Farida Lemouchi (former The Devil’s Blood). This cooperation we had in mind for a very long time and this song seemed to be the perfect opportunity. It was a great surprise to hear how Farida and Jochem’s voices matched. On the other side of the 7 inch you will find ‘Shakira’. On this track guest Marcel Van De Vondervoort (Astrosoniq) added some Arabic percussion. The single is limited to 500 pieces only and released by partner in crime Ván Records. You can pre-order the single at the label’s website or hope to get yourself a copy at one of the shows.

GOTTHARD
Das Jahr startet mit einem BIG BANG! Rockfans können sich freuen, denn am 4.4. veröffentlicht die Tessiner Platin-Band ihr neues Album mit dem Titel "BANG!" und hat dabei neben dem Musikvertrieb für die Schweiz erstmals Pias (restliche Welt) und Marquee Inc (Japan) als neue Vertriebspartner mit an Bord.
Musikalisch darf man sich auf 100% GOTTHARD freuen, denn erneut haben Leo Leoni und Charlie Bauerfeind als Produzententeam erdigen Hardrock, puren Gotthard-Spirit und wundervolle Rockmelodien miteinander verschmelzen lassen.
Wie bereits der Vorgänger «Firebirth» (Platz 1 in den Schweizer Charts, Platz 9 in den deutschen) fängt auch "BANG!", das im Herbst/Winter 2013 in den bandeigenen Yellow House Studios in Lugano entstanden ist, das Gefühl der frühen GOTTHARD-Tage ein und transportiert es ins Jahr 2014.
Für den passenden und zeitgemäßen Schliff hat Mixengineer Ronald Prent gesorgt, der das neue Album mischte. Der Holländer, der in den berühmten Wisseloord Studios zuhause ist, brachte sein Know How bereits für die Alben «Lipservice» und «Domino Effect» mit ein.
"Wir haben ihn als unglaublich kompetent und geschmackvoll kennengelernt", so Leo Leoni. "Man merkt, dass er Rockmusik liebt und weiss, diese in den richtigen Sound zu legen. Er hatte damals schon auf Anhieb verstanden, was wir wollen und wie GOTTHARD klingen müssen. Das hat er uns auch dieses Mal wieder bewiesen."
Kein Wunder, schließlich arbeiteten in den besagten Studios bereits Bands wie die Scorpions, 3 Doors Down, Def Leppard oder Within Temptation mit Prent.
Für Sänger Nic Maeder ist "BANG!" nicht nur das zweite Album mit GOTTHARD, sondern auch der überzeugende Beweis dafür, dass er längst in der Band angekommen und mit seiner Stimme sowie seinen Qualitäten als Songwriter nicht mehr wegzudenken ist.
Nicht nur das Fan- und Sammlerherz darf sich freuen: Das Album wird es neben einem Standard Jewel Case auch in einer edlen Digipak Version mit 2 Bonustracks und als Vinyl geben.

MOTÖRHEAD
Und wieder gibt es schlechte Neuigkeiten um Oberwarze Lemmy Kilmister bzw. MOTÖRHEAD und deren anstehende Tour. Die für das Frühjahr vorgesehene Tournee muss erneut gecancelt werden. Lemmy´s Gesundheitszustand macht den Plänen erneut einen Strich durch die Rechnung. Hier das offizielle Statement:
It is with great regret that Motörhead has to announce the cancellation of their European tour, scheduled to start February, 2014.
Many concerted, diligent and focused efforts were made by founding member, and international icon, Lemmy Kilmister to deal with a range of health issues relating to diabetes. While there has been undoubted progress, Lemmy and the band were advised by doctors that it was still too soon to resume full touring activities, and so for the good of the future, the band and Lemmy reluctantly agreed to cancel.
No-one is hurting more over this than Lemmy, and he feels the aggravation and inconvenience of every ticket, and every method of transportation, already paid for by loyal fans in anticipation of the tour. Being a road warrior of over 50 dedicated, non-stop years, it is equally distressing for him to be unable to occupy the top lounge of the trusty tour bus (his spiritual home) but Lemmy recognizes that his long-term health must win. It goes without saying that Lemmy profusely apologizes for inconveniences caused, but he does want everyone to know that he is continuing on the road to a full recovery, and that the prognosis long-term is very good.
Fans have shown tremendous support for Lemmy, and it has meant so much to him. As he told Rolling Stone,
"Oh, man, the fans were unbelievable when I got sick," he says. "No bitching. It was all 'Take your time, get better. Don't worry, we'll wait for you. Get well.'"
Rome was not built in a day...like Lemmy's health. But there is some strong light at the end of the tunnel here...we thank you so very much for your continued love, support and understanding.

Das Konzert der Multi-Kulti-Blues-Rock-Senkrechtstarter BLUES PILLS auf dem Bonner Crossroads Festival im vergangenen Oktober wird in der Nacht vom kommenden Sonntag auf Montag um 1:45 Uhr im WDR Rockpalast übertragen.

2013 machten The Brew aus UK mit ihrem Video zu “Trouble Free“ und einigen Live Auftritten schon mal mächtig Furore in Deutschland.
Folglich erscheint nun endlich ihr neues Album “Control“ am 20. Februar 2014. Vorab gibt es die Premiere zum neuen Video “Repeat“ und hier wird schon mal mehr als deutlich, was das Trio aus UK drauf hat…

“Control“ – ihre bis dato mit Abstand souveränsten Aufnahme – übertrifft aber sogar die kühnsten Erwartungen. Im Vorfeld waren sich die Gründungsmitglieder Tim Smith (Bass), Jason Barwick (Gitarre/Gesang) und Kurtis Smith (Schlagzeug) einig: Die Zeit war reif für einen Wechsel. Die beiden Vorgängeralben “A Million Dead Stars“ und “The Third Floor“ sind aus einer erfolgreichen Zusammenarbeit mit dem Produzenten Chris West hervorgegangen. Diesmal klingelte die Band stattdessen bei Toby Jepson, dem früheren Frontman der Hardrock-Formation Little Angels. Heute gehört er zu den gefragtesten Produzenten Großbritanniens und hat Projekte sowohl von aufstrebenden Acts wie The Virginmarys oder The Answer als auch von Veteranen wie Saxon oder Fastway meisterhaft betreut. „Beim ersten Treffen waren wir sofort mit ihm auf einer Wellenlänge“, erinnert sich Tim Smith. „Toby liebt es, live im Studio aufzunehmen. Und das ist genau unser Kragenweite.“
Der dynamische Breitwand-Sound von Control ist ein deutlicher Beweis: Bei Toby Jepson fanden sie das optimale Umfeld für die Freisetzung ihrer gewaltigen Energie.
Nur mit einer Menge Fleiß, Sorgfalt und Können kommt ein Album wie Control zustande. Die überragende Klasse dieser Platte macht sie zu einem der Must-Haves des Jahres 2014. The Brew hat damit überzeugend ein neues Kapitel in ihrer Bandgeschichte aufgeschlagen.

THE TREATMENT have announced a headline tour of the UK for February 2014 in support of their new / second studio album, ‘Running With The Dogs’.
Produced by Laurie Mansworth, this is the follow up to ‘This Might Hurt’, released in 2011.
